REISEHUNGER has been officially out for two weeks now and I couldn’t be happier with it. Friends, neighbours and complete strangers have sent me emails with the dishes they have cooked, or snapshots of my newest cookbook from the wild (aka bookstores).
I cannot speak for other cookbook authors, but I love love love personal feedback from readers. It’s always fascinating to hear or read, what recipes people pick first and why. Funnily it is never the recipe I would pick. So far we have a close tie, the oven-roast vegetables (Greek-style) rank pretty high, as do the roast eggplants (Dubai) and the salmon from the US chapter. Oh, and the ribs from the Singapore chapter! ‘Curious to see how that will change over the next weeks…
The facts: REISEHUNGER (so far in German language only) features more than 90 of my very favorite recipes from our travels to the US, Singapore and many places in between. Each chapter/cuisine covers the typical culinary needs, from breakfast to appetizer/soup, salad, main (meat/fish/vegetarian), including something baked and/or dessert. All in all there are more than 200 recipe and travel photos.
And if you haven’t had a chance to look into the book, here are some impressions from REISEHUNGER, which can be bought (24,99 €) in bookstores or ordered from my publishing house Gräfe und Unzer and Amazon. (find the giveaway further down…)
EDIT: Thank you all for taking the time, sharing your lovely travel and food memories, I couldn’t stop smiling while reading them all! It is wonderful to see how many like-minded travelers read delicious:days :)
The comment section/giveaway has been closed, winners will be announced on Friday, 6th of March, 2015!
