I've been using cforms for awhile now and love it. However, recently when I upgraded to 10.4.1, the WP Comment Form feature stopped working correctly.
The problem: if someone sends a comment, the comment appears (like a message) in my admin email as opposed to in the Wordpress Comments list.
I tried deactivating and reactivating the plugin, and I tried reinstalling the comment form preset, all to no avail.
I'm not sure what to do to correct this. Any help would be appreciated.

This seems to only happen in Ajax and will be fixed in 10.5
Workaround: deactivate Ajax on your form
Fix:
move line ~85:
$isAjaxWPcomment = strpos($content,'***');### WP comment feature
up to line ~43, just underneath global $cformsSettings, $wpdb ….

Thanks! I'll try the fix. Which file are those lines of code in?
That's great it will be fixed in 10.5.

Okay, so the code line Oliver suggested I move was located in the lib_ajax.php files. Line 85 was already located underneath line 43.
So I attempted the workaround he suggested, by deactivating Ajax on my form. I have cforms on two separate sites and each site had a unique problem:
On site #1 I deactivated Ajax and tested the comment form. The comment instantly appeared on the blog when in fact it should have been sent to WP Comments for me to approve. Okay, minor issue till 10.5 comes out.
On Site #2, however, when I disabled Ajax, I tried submitting a comment and it redirected the page to: mysite/wp-content/plugins/cforms/lib_WPcomment.php (just showing the directory structure.)
Not sure why I have two different problems or how to fix them.

Oliver quickly helped me resolve these issues by emailing me the upcoming version of cforms, 10.5. He's done a great job fixing bug issues in this newest version.
Thanks again, Oliver!

Hi,
I am trying to use cforms for comments and I am getting "wp-content/plugins/cforms/lib_WPcomment.php?cfemail=err#cformsform has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer."
I tried disabling Ajax and still getting the same error. Oliver, can you please send me the latest version to beta-test.
thank you

happy to, but even the latest version may not fix this issue, check for redirection settings & your .htaccess

I've been slammed with spam lately so I switched from the built-in comment form to cforms. I used the preset WP Comment form and added the Visitor Verification lines. I also used another plugin to turn off comments/trackbacks to all posts over a certain age.
I went from one or two valid comments and a gazillion spam to nothing. Great!
Then I decided to test the form to make sure everything was still working. The comment didn't appear but was mailed to the admin address. I checked what I knew to check and came here. Found a post about it and it said the fix would be in 10.5 (which I had already downloaded but not installed). Great!
Uploaded and installed 10.5 following the instructions (I'm crazy that way). Comments still won't appear and now don't even get sent to admin. It is late so I figured I'd try turning off Ajax to see if it works. With Ajax off, clicking submit sent me here: wp-content/plugins/cforms/lib_WPcomment.php which is a blank page. With Ajax on, there's a little bar that says "one moment please" that then changes to a rectangle with red lines through it, as if it is thinking. No comment appears.
Site is here:

I have cforms as a contact form (which works fine) on all my sites and now as a comment form and none of them are working. I know forms can be tricky little snots so I'm not freaking. I would, however, like to get them to work.

Check you abspath.php file for existence and content (path)!
Just ran a test and it does seem to work though…

Yes, the Contact form works. It is the Comment form that is not working.
There is an abspath.php file (and hte path inside is correct). I'm not sure what the content (path) is.

They're at the bottom of each post. Here's the latest one:

Here is one with the last comments prior to using cforms for the comments feature:

The few posts I've checked had all comments off.
Anyway, can you turn off the "message edit tools", it could be an issue with those 'extra' non cforms input fields.

Never mind. I'll use cforms for the Contact form since it works there. I haven't the time to figure out this problem right now. Thanks for your help, though.

I have this issue, too: comment form goes to /wp-content/plugins/cforms/lib_WPcomment.php – no Ajax, abspath.php present, I get a blank page.
I've gone back to default form and I'm trying Akismet, but I thought I'd report this.
