Please replace the ??? with your data!

  • Your URL: private
  • The browser used: FF
  • cforms version: 8.5.2 upgrading to 8.6.2
  • Your Wordpress version: 2.6.1 with Semiologic 5.6

[desc]:I was running WP 2.5.1 with cforms 8.5.2.  I upgraded WP to 2.6.1 and everything seems to be running fine.

Now need to upgrade cforms.

I established a folder at: plugins/cforms-custom and know I need to copy my custom files there.

I have only 1 form on this site.  The form has a captcha image on it, I did not customize it.  The color back ground to the form was customized using custom css inside the custom.css file mechanism inside Semiologic, The custom.css file created using this Semiologic feature is safe from override during an upgrade.

Based upon the manner in which my forms are set up, does not seem to me that I have any custom files to place in cforms-custom.  If I do, please tell me specifically what should be in the cforms-custom folder before pgrading.

Thanks again very much for a most incredible addition to Wordpress.

The plugins/cforms-custom is meant to first of all contain all your customized files, whether we're talking CSS, JPG, GIF or FONT files. Once you move all your (touched) files into this folder, you might also want to include all images the CSS references.

You can either skim through the CSS and copy them directly or simply copy them all.

Finally, you need to check your CSS file (in plugins/cforms-custom) if it contains references such as, e.g.

background: [...] url(../images/dark_open_XL_submit.jpg)

and adjust the path to, e.g.

background: [...] url(../cforms/images/dark_open_XL_submit.jpg)

Thanks Oliver ...

Since the only custom css I made to cforms resides outside the cform folder, and since I have not customized any images or anything else, looks like I don't need anything in the cforms-custom folder.

I did make a back up and saved the .txt file to my pc in the event something goes haywire on the upgrade.

The only remaining question is that I did make a custom form, using spcific inputs, etc.  I have scanned the cforms folder on my server and do not see any updated files, where is the file that holds the forms I create?  Do I put that in the cforms-custom folder?
