I have a form that accepts file uploads, works great.
User loads files, the files land in a designated directory on our windows based server runing php/mysql/wp.
The problem I have is that after the files are uploaded only windows administrators can access the uploaded file.
The directory rights (under windows) are fine but any file placed there by CformsII is admin only as far as I can tell.
How can I make all windows users who have rights to the directory also have rights to the uploaded files.
Not sure if it's a php or cforms or wp change that is required.
Thanks in advance!
Yes, the folder permissions are ok.
The individual file permissions are not ok.
No offence Andy, but do you think you provided enough detail about your configuration in order to anyone being able to identify what is causing your problem?
Did you even glance at the FAQs?
Yep, read the FAQ extensively before posting, no solutions there. Searched microsoft and google for hours trying to solve this. Did lots of trail and error. Still no solution so I posted here, after exhausting all other options.
The key is that it's a WINDOWS server. I'm hoping a windows admin has solved a similar issue in the past. The folder permissions are correct all desired users have full access to the folder and child objects. The problem is whenever a NEW file is uploaded it is owned by the IUSR_ and only IUSR_ and administrators have access to it.
Tandem, thanks for your sarcastic, condecending remarks and generic google search responses.
Anyone else have any constructive input?
Thanks in advance,
Does anyone have a method to control rights to the files uploaded through cformsII?
Anyone have a form tool that does have control of file rights?
I can't continue using cforms unless I can fix this issue.
