I was having the same problem and  I did some digging and found a file called abspath.php in the /wp-content/plugins/cforms/ directory. If you edit/view that file, it contains the absolute path.

I was able to use that path and it works perfectly without re-installing or creating a new form. Try it out and let us know if you have different results.

Hi Oliver, 

 

my problem is, that cforms does not let me edit the forms I set about 6 months ago. They work except for one, but I cannot edit them. Always when I want to do this there ist thsi po-up showing "Input field Settings" and… nothing else! Chrome, IE no browser works. Plus it says: 

It seems that your ROOT directory for Wordpress is /blog. cforms tried to auto-adjust its settings accordingly, however if you still encounter issues with Ajax (form submission & CAPTCHA reset) please open the file js/cforms.js in your cforms plugin folder and check the sajax_uri variable. (After changing the file, please emtpy your browser cache!)

 

Did this, but nothings helps. So I cannot add a new form, since I cannot edit anything. Argh. 

 

Could you help me out? Will a backup and reinstall be risky? I have about 10 forms running…

Hi!

If you can successfully make a backup under Global Settings, you should be alright to deinstall and re-install.

In any case, make a complete DB backup just to be sure.

Also, have you tried de-activating and reactivating the plugin?

Are you 100% sure that your $abspath var in abspath.php is set correctly, too?

Hi,

I didn't find any abspath.php in the /wp-content/plugins/cforms/ directory.

I managed to find the correct path when I created a new test form.

The Upload directory appeared in the Upload directory field.

 

Problem solved – Thanks for the hint
