Please replace the ??? with your data!

After upgrading manually to 8.4.2, I restored the forms from my computer. They looked fine. But filling them out and submitting the form will not result in a confirmation email and the email to the admin is totally mixed up: The fields do not correspond to the given inputs/answers. I deleted cforms from the server and reinstalled several times with no better result. The last time trying to delete the cforms dir could not be done, error message: the folder images is not empty. I tried to resolve the problem by creating a new form from cratch but same outcome.

What should I do to make it work again?

Any help appreciated.

That sounds odd. Have you double checked the restored form, does it really look fully intact?

Is the form live, where can I see and test it?

Thanks for the help!

I created a page with the form live and posted the file restored from the previous version:

http://www.fim-jakarta.com/?page_id=221

The BOOKING (top menu) form does not work as well.

If needed I would also give you access to the admin site if only this problem could be solved, since the form is very important to us.

Thanks again for your help!

P.S.: Ich spreche deutsch.

I went to your site and downloaded the form backup file and installed it 1:1 on my test blog, changed the admin email & FROM address, but nothing else.

It works like a charm.

I also went back to your test page and submitted a form it all looked ok, did you get any email(s)?

I did not receive the auto confirmation yet that I got ealier when I tested the form on my blog, so this could in fact be an email issue.

To simplify testing, can you use simple email addresses a@b.c , no fancy names in quotes etc?

Worst case, what you may want to do, (*after* backing up your WP database AND making backups of all your forms!) is to erase all cforms data (under global settings), deactivate and reactivate the plugin and restore the forms 1 by 1.

Are you tracking the submissions, if so, is the data being tracked properly?

I enabled Database Input Tracking and instantly it creates a submenu 'Tracking' under the cforms menu. Clicking on 'Tracking' makes the submenu disappear. The tracking table is empty (I emailed you a picture of that) after submitting some forms.

Going back to the top 'cforms' menu, the submenu 'Tracking' is no longer visible and will only show again by updating settings under 'global settings'. The whole cycle starts then as described above.

I have to find out how to backup the WP-database and will try out what you recommended before.

I'll send you an email, it seems that your WP install has some bigger issues.
