Hi,
I'm experiencing problems with receiving admin emails when a form successfully submits. How does an email get sent once a form is submitted? I'm not receiving emails once I subscribe to a form, either from the admin email or from the email that I sign up with. I'm quite frustrated and any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Jon

I'm have the same or similar problem.
When a form is submitted:
i) a copy message is successfully sent to the author; and
ii) a copy of the submission is successfully sent to the CC address.
But, no message is sent to the admin e-mail address.
Tracking is turned on and it is recording the submissions.
The results of the Ajax POSTS are returning successful.
Not found a solution yet.

Further to my post yesterday…
Let's say that my web site address is DOMAIN.COM.
In the Form Setup, I tested several e-mail addresses as the TO (Admin) and BCC fields.
The results of the testing was that:
If the TO address was an e-mail address at DOMAIN.COM, then no e-mail was received.
At the same time, e-mail to the alternative BCC e-mail address(es) was received.
I tried various combinations of e-mail addresses (based on several domains).
If the TO e-mail address was an alternative address, using an alternative domain, then it was received.
If the TO e-mail address was based upon DOMAIN.COM then it was not received.
So to get things moving, I have set the form up to e-mail TO an alternative e-mail address, outside of DOMAIN.COM.
The answer as to why DOMAIN.COM e-mails fail, may lie with my hosting provider (Bluehost).
But, I'm pretty sure I've got that all set up correctly.
I have one e-mail account setup with the host and I'm sending FROM that account.
SMTP is obviously working as I'm receiving the CC and BCC e-mails.
The e-mail for DOMAIN.COM is handled by Google Apps.
I don't think that is related, because the alternative e-mail address that I am using is an associated domain on the same Google Apps account.
Nothing is being caught up in the Junk or Spam folders.
During the tests, when I sent TO (Admin) an e-mail address at DOMAIN.COM; I didn't get any bounced e-mails indicating an error. If there was an error sending the e-mail to a bad address etc. I would expect to receive a bounced e-mail into my "catch all" e-mail account sent to my FROM e-mail address.
So, it's a little odd.
But, I'm happy to work with my "alternative e-mail" work around.

I have the same exact issue. When I choose my "domain" email address it doesn't work, but when I send it out to a different address outside my domain, it works fine.
The workaround… works… but has anyone been able to discover a way to get this working as it should?
Thanks!
Adam

I don't know if this helps, but I have to have two admins. assigned to my WP site — one with the .com email address, and one with my outside email address.

I cant get the form submitters name to appear in the subject line of the admin email when form is submitted or in the body of confirmation email for submitter. I sure makes it a lot easier to locate someones form when the name is in subject line. I am not knowledgeable in "code" and I looked at the predefined variables. I tried CurUserName (not even sure if that is the right one to use.) I also dont know about the placement of brackets and ( ). If someone knows how to do this please type out exactly what needs to go in the box.
Thanks

It would appear you're not knowledgable in "forums" either. You've hijacked someone else's topic with something unrelated.

Hey,
I am having the same issue, and at some point, even he email address in the BCC field was not receiving emails. Also, I tried adding email in the TO (admin email) field that were not from @DOMAIN.COM but it never went thru. The only person who receives the email right is the one in the BCC field.
Anyone found a solution ?
Thanks,
Nicolas

Hi Oliver,
I'm still experiencing this problem. Today I upgraded everything (cForms and WordPress) to the latest versions and it hasn't remedied it at all.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Robert

This is likely due to your hosting configuration rather than your cForms settings — Your mail server probably expects to deliver mail with the same domain as the site locally, which isn't always the case. You may have to tell your hosting account to delivery mail externally, rather than using the local mail router.
Ask your hosting company for help with this — Bluehost.com has a nice little checkbox for this in the MX config.
