Please replace the ??? with your data!
- Your URL: http://???
- The browser used: ???
- cforms version: ???
- Your Wordpress version: ???

Hello,
I am trying to install cforms, but everytime I do it tells me to toggle the status, to revive cforms, because data's missing. How can anything be missing if this is a fresh install?
Any help would be appreciated.

If it's a fresh install and cforms hasn't been properly activated then of course it is missing all its initial configuration.
Make sure you click the activation link in the plugins section.

I can't believe you think I'm that stupid.
Of course I activated the plugin. I've done this five times now. Activate, get the "revive cforms" message, deactivate. Rinse, repeat, reuse. I am not slow here, I tried everything before coming to this section.

No offense to anyone else, but the majority of the questions being asked here would typically fall under the category "I can't believe you think I'm that stupid." to use your words.
The latest WP 2.6 rel comes with 2 options to activate a plugin, one works the other doesn't, but you knew that of course.

Right, but how do I get this to work? I had it working on my old site, and I did a fresh reinstall, with a clean database, only to have this happen.
I've tried several times, toggling and what not…

Nevermind, I got it. As you said, the right option works, and for whatever reason the checkbox doesn't, despite the fact it basically (or should) call the same function.

…true indeed. A good question to ask the WP core developers…and why things like that aren't pro-actively being communicated to plugin developers…

I am having the exact same problem with installing. However, I can't find the 2nd method to use. I have searched the WP Plugin site but didn't see anything that appeared as an altermate method. Can you please point me to the correct place or just tell me how to get cforms installed.
thanks, ray

these are the two options (#1 does not currently work):
- click on plugin check box and hit the blue activate button on the left side
- simply click the plugin activate link on the right side

Oliver,
Ohhh. how easily one can miss the obvious. It worked. I am now off to enjoying cforms.
I like the "Do Math To Save" on the save button. Was that part of the Math plug-in or custom? I have a math plugin but it does not do that.
Thank you,
Ray
