Please replace the ??? with your data!

  • Your URL: http://
  • The browser used: firefox 3
  • cforms version:  8.6.2
  • Your Wordpress version: 2.6.1

Hey,

First, thanks for your plugin! It's by far the best contact form plugin available for WordPress!

Second, everytime I receive a message from my contact form and click reply, the email replies to the administrator of the site instead of to the person who sent the email. Is there something I am missing in within the setup of the plugin? This happens with the default settings of cforms.

Hope the above makes sense.

Thanks in advance.

Odd. By default, the REPLY-TO ought to be set to match the visitors email address, is it not set in the email you receive?

Does your email client perhaps not consider the REPLY-TO field?

If worse comes to worse, you can overwrite the FROM address to have it match the visitors email. Not recommended but it would probably do the trick.

Thanks for your reply. I did solve the issue: The FROM address was the same as my admin email address. I changed it to: "Site Name" <wordpress@mysite.com>. It seems to work just fine now.

I have another site using cforms, and by default it has that setup ("Site Name" <wordpress@mysite.com>) as the FROM address. So I am not sure why my original installation had just my admin email. Could this be a web host issue or a permission issue?

Thanks again for a great plugin.
