php.ini & bSetting

Thanks for this plug-in, I think it's going to make some of my complex forms a lot easier.

Since installing it though, I am unable to view and therefore activate/deactivate any plug-ins. I am presented with a white screen as mentioned in your troubleshooting guide.

I have written to my web host and pointed him at your troubleshooting faq's, and he has written back saying that he has no idea what a "bSetting" is referring to.

I'm wondering if you can elaborate a little so I can get him to fix this problem for me.

kind regards

Nicole,

Sorry, that was a typo. I meant to say memory setting. There is a switch in php.ini that determines the amount of memory allocated:

You could run phpinfo(); in a test script yourself to find out what the current setting is.

Also, make sure that there is no trailing empty line in cforms.php. Some users have reported that their copy had an empty line after the final ?> which apparently was the source of all evil, ie. white screen.

Hi Oliver, thanks for responding.

I've been onto my host this morning who has checked the memory size and it's always been set to 128mb. We also both checked that there was no extra line or even spaces after the ?> in the cforms.php file.

I've searched further this morning on the WordPress forums and have found your post there when you initially found this problem yourself.

I'm using WP v 2.2.1 and the only other plugins I have are "add-meta-tags" and the two that come standard with WP.

I will need to resolve this problem as I have two more plugins to install and I'll obviously need to activate them.

Do you think if I delete some of those theme stylesheets it might work? I only need one of them as I'll be changing it to match my existing theme anyway.

kind regards

Nicole
