Forms have been working for the past 3 years. Upgraded and does not work now.
My js/cforms.js file is set to: http://www.pchum.org/wp-conten…..b_ajax.php which appears to be correct.

Here's what the abspath.php says:
<?php $abspath = '/home/.trick/pchum6643/pchum.org/'; ?>
pchum6643 is our username for http://ftp. What is it supposed to be? I deactived and reactivated and now it says, "Error occurred while sending the message"

I'm having the same problem, unfortunately. I upgraded and now the form hangs upon submission. The form data does go into the tracking database, but the admin email is never sent out and the confirmation page isn't displayed.
I tried the FAQ fix as well as deactivating and activating the plugin and then clearing the cache. My abspath is correct.
I also tried turning off the Ajax functionality and then got redirected to the usermassge3a page. I set the var sajax_uri in js -> cforms.js and that didn't resolve the problem.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

it looks like the abspath.php file is fine now.
http://www.pchum.org/wp-conten…..b_ajax.php produces no more errors, but I can't find a form to test…

I'm having the same issue right now. Have corrected the abspath.php and ugpraded to the latest version. I've also tried everything stated in the FAQ.
When a form is submitted, the message "One moment please…" is displayed momentarily and then disappears. No success prompt is shown afterwards. However, the tracking database shows that the form was submitted.
Disabling Ajax, the form submits, and the success box is shown, but with no message (I know the box is there because of how I've styled it). Still no email goes out, but database tracks it.
Is this an issue with the mail server or with something else? An issue with the mail server wouldn't explain the success prompt not showing up though.
Any help is appreciated!
Verne

@Jamie
looks like you turned off Ajax. does the form work with the default theme and other plugins turned off?
@Leslie
it all looks fine except that I believe your email config (FROM:, admin etc.) is flawed or your mail server is rejecting cform emails for some other reason. the hanging seems to be a result of that.
did the email go through with Ajax disabled? did it show a proper right success msg?
@Verne
since you did not provide a URL I can only guess that it is a mail server issue.
first ensure that WP can send emails fine, then worry about cforms.

The strange thing is that I have other forms running on the site and they work (ie: http://www.kamaji.com/contact/ ) They share the same email config settings but aren't using the captcha. I've tried turning off the captcha, but the form still hangs. Also, all forms on the site were working perfectly before the cforms upgrade.
I tried turning off the Ajax functionality and then got redirected to the usermessge3a page. I set the var sajax_uri in js -> cforms.js and that didn't resolve the problem.
I'm going to make the form again from scratch and see if that resolves the issue.

did the upgrade perhaps change any of the settings (form specific or globally)?
can you try and use cform's SMTP feature?

I ended up backing up the form settings and database tables, Uninstalling / Removing cforms and deleting the plugin, then reinstalling a new copy of cforms, and restoring the settings. It works again now.
Thanks for your help!
