Please replace the ??? with your data!

[desc]:

Dear Oliver,

First off, congratz for writing such an awesome plugin. We (QueroMedia) uses your plugin for most of its contactforms, throughout a variety of websites.

I do have a problem now, on a new website.

I've configured all messages, also success and the error messages, and they are set in the DataBase, but upon submission of the form, the success message doesn't get showed. This matter is imho an issue in the main 'cforms()' function, on line 928.

    //
    // paint form
    //
    $success=false;
    if ( ((isset($_GET['email']) && $_GET['email']=='sent') || (isset($_GET['cfemail']) && $_GET['cfemail']=='sent'))
            && get_option('cforms'.$no.'_tellafriend')=='2' ){ // fix for WP Comment
        $usermessage_class = ' success';
        $usermessage_text = preg_replace ( '|
|', '<br />', stripslashes(get_option('cforms'.$no.'_success')) );
        $success=true;
        echo"***WPCOMMENT";
    }
    elseif($usermessage_class == ' success')
    {
        $usermessage_class = ' success';
        $usermessage_text = preg_replace ( '|
|', '<br />', stripslashes(get_option('cforms'.$no.'_success')) );
        $success=true;
    }

The message doesn't get set unless you have a queryvar "email" or "cfemail". As I'm using Permalinks, it's impossible to have these QueryVars.

I've managed to fix it with a little workaround (in bold), and now my successmessage is being set up correctly (I think :') )

Onto the next issue of today!

The mails don't come through. If you want, you can check the server configuration here: http://jobs.queromedia.com/phpinfo.php

I hope someone can help me with my 2 issues, as I have already browsed through the Fora and haven't yet found a solution.

Thanks in advance!

That part of cforms only pertains to the use of cforms WP comment feature. If you're not using it, no reason to modify this area.

The message doesn't get set unless you have a queryvar "email" or "cfemail". As I'm using Permalinks, it's impossible to have these QueryVars.

Again, these are only being sent when enabling cforms WP comment feature, regardless of whether WP is using default or custom permalinks.

I've configured all messages, also success and the error messages, and they are set in the DataBase, but upon submission of the form, the success message doesn't get showed.

This may have to do with the fact that you also don't receive email, a core error would prohibit either message to show.

It seems to work now, not sure though if it's just claiming to work due to your changes or if it really works – did you get the test email?

PS:

       echo"***WPCOMMENT";

This is worrying and my bad – fixed and will be in the v7.4 released tonight.

Thx Oliver for responding so fast!

The message does show up correctly now, while it didn't without my adaptations.

I've still not received any mails though :(
