Please replace the ??? with your data!
when I download records from tracking to a CSV file in the tracking section, it outputs an empty file.
-I see the records in the wp database in the cform tables
-i can view each submission in the tracking section
-i've gotten the same results on another wordpress install that has same setup but different hosting
- it seemed to work once, but then stopped working again… ?!?!
any help would be great!
thanks for all your hard work!

are you trying to only download one records? if so, that's a bug which will be fixed in 9.2.
Try selecting more than one record (the last one will be discarded)

We are using cForms 10.5 on a 2.7.1 WP installation. The data shows up in the tracking database and we can view each record fine. However, when we go to download as a .csv the file is always empty.
I have tried selecting no records, selecting a few records (we only have 14 right now anyway for this form), and selecting all the records. The downloaded .csv is always empty.
I have tried on IE 6&7, Firefox 3 and Safari, thinking it may be a client-side browser issue. Still no luck.
Any ideas?
Thanks for your help.
Sincerely,
Rich

yes. both tab and xml files are coming up empty.
However, I just noticed something else. I submitted the form a few more times and I am receiving the e-mail with the form information but the tracking database is not updating with the new records. I wonder if this is related.

form: did you check the "don't track" form option?
download: it's odd that viewing multiple records works fine, while downloading doesn't – it is essentially the same thing.

I just checked that my form is not excluded from database tracking and yet the database is not showing the new records (even though I receive an email with the information)

I am having this same exact problem. I also have the error It appears that cforms was not able to create abspath.php," I think the two problems might be related. I have had the abspath.php error since installation and still after reinstallation of cforms 10.5.
Any solution to this? Can't find anything on the web.

per the instructions, simply create the abspath.php file (readable permissions) manually.

I have resolved the abspath.php error but I still can't download records in any format. I can view all my form submissions, but when I click "download records" I get the following error, with all three formats (tab, csv, xml)
Warning: fopen(D:\\Hosting\\4127700\\html\\wp-content\\plugins\\cforms\\js\\include/data.tmp) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in D:\\Hosting\\4127700\\html\\wp-content\\plugins\\cforms\\js\\include\\lib_database_dlentries.php on line 98
Warning: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in D:\\Hosting\\4127700\\html\\wp-content\\plugins\\cforms\\js\\include\\lib_database_dlentries.php on line 164
There is more to the error but it very long.
I just tried upgrading to the latest version and installing the patch, but I get the same error.
When I try selecting just one record I get an emtpy csv, .txt or xml
Thanks for any help, it is really appreciated. I have spent several hours trying to find a solution.

Ok, I resolved the issue by changing the permissions in hy hosting account for the cforms file from inherit to read and write.
I am really new to web building, so I didn't understand where to change the permissions when I got the abspath.php error. I fixed that error by installing the abspath.php file in the cforms file but I still needed to change cforms file's permissions in order to download my form submissions.
As usual, I over complicated this by being a noob.
Thanks for the help, I am so glad that I get to keep using cforms!
