Hi! Today was my first (and frustrating) day with cforms.

I created a form with 23 fields, some of them are multi select boxes.

On my tests, when the form is processed all multi select boxes repeat the value selected on the last one, for some odd reason.

Another issue: my form asks the visitor to optionally type his/her e-mail. Since it's an option, not a requirement, I haven't checked the "Is Required" box for that field. Even so, when the form is processed it keeps asking the visitor for an e-mail.

Ajax is disabled. (When enabled, the form doesn't process most of
que questions, they simpley don't appear on the resulting e-mail.)

Comments and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Can you post a URL so I can take a look at your setup?

Do you create the form programmatically (via php scripting) or did you set it up as a regular form (via the admin UI)?

To make the email field just a regular field (ie. "optionally") you also need to uncheck  "Is Email", too. NOTE: You should then also turn off CC: me  and/or the auto confirmation email feature.

Hi Oliver,

Thank you for your reply.

The URL of the form is:

http://applemania.info/?page_id=292

Some important remarks:

The form -- an online survey -- can't be publicly disclosed yet, so in order to let you see it I've password protected it. The password is your name (case sensitive, that is, with capital "O").

The page (as the whole site) is in Brazilian Portuguese, but it doesn't really matter. What is really important is that, as I said on my previous post, there are some multi select boxes and, for some reason, when the form is processed the options selected on the last multi select box are repeated on the answers of the other multi select boxes.

The form was set via UI, not PHP scripting. Ajax disabled.

I look forward to your answer on this issue, for which I thank you in advance.

I see your point and will take a look at the code. You're right if more than one multi-select box is deployed, it'll only deliver the results of one of them – that's a bug not a feature :-)

Stay tuned…

A small patch has been applied and the cforms zip updated. Please download again and let me know if this fixed it for you.

It works just fine now. Thank you so much!

I must say your plugin is a wonderfully well done work. My sincere congratulations.

For the future, please try to implement multi select check boxes too. Personally I find them a more elegant solution than multi select boxes when there are just a few options to choose.

Best regards,

Marcelo

One more thing:

On the "Styling" tab there are a few style options from which I've choosen "shiny_style.css", but the actual form doesn't appear like in the preview. Actually, there's no difference between "cforms.css", "shiny_stile.css" and "sidebar-layout.css" on the resulting form.

Maybe it's something related to the form number, as you say in the instructions. But since there's only one form, would it be an issue? How can I ensure the css reflects the number of that only form?

Thanks once more.

If I remember correctly, two of those preset styles are in fact only referencing form #2 (shiny & sidebar). So if you'd like to see these in action for a form other than #2 you'll have to adjust the top part of the CSS and essentially replace: 2 with whatever the number of the form is, if it's #1 (the default form) then just ommit the number, e.g.:

this:

#cforms2form p.subtitle    { font-size:12px;text-align:left; padding:10px 0 0 10px; }

becomes:

#cformsform p.subtitle    { font-size:12px;text-align:left; padding:10px 0 0 10px; }

I'll take a look at adding multi select check boxes for a short term v4.1 release, I've beend getting more and more requests for it, so it seems to makes sense to add it.

Thanks for the feedback!

Unfortunately it didn't work.

You can see here…

http://applemania.info/wp-content/plugins/contactf….._style.css

…that I've done what you said but the resulting form stays unchanged:

Comments?

Thank you,

Marcelo

Of course you have to change all the other "#cforms2form"s in the top part accordingly.

I've tried it "remotely" using Firebug and it works, please note though that there is a gif image being used for the fieldset legend, which you may want to replace with your own…
