IE OK, FF All Wrong

Please replace the ??? with your data!

[desc]:

I added the feature to use cfforms as the comment and email to author feature. It works perfectly in IE. However, in FF, it looks all wrong. The fields are not right, and the layout is all wrong.

Not sure where  I went wrong. I did everything 3 times to no avail.

Also, is there a way for the form to show up at the bottom of each post without someone having to click on the Comments link and be taken to another page?

Here is the URL: http://www.everyonebutyou.com/2008/02/05/february-5-1225-pm-do-you-know-where-to-vote-no-one-else-does/#respond

Again, only an issue in FF, but works fine in IE, see for yourself.

Thanks.

It works perfectly in IE. However, in FF,…

JMR, that's funny. I just looked at it in both IE and FF and they look almost identical. Not correct, but very very similar with a difference of a few pixels in between fields.

The problem is your WP theme (CSS) which has too many general declarations and thus an influence on less claiming CSS. Anyway, here is what I would *add* to fix it and make it look better (in your cforms CSS, at the end):

ol.cf-ol li {
    border:medium none;
}

.cform input, .cform textarea, .cform select {
    background: #FBFBFB !important;
    margin: 0px 0px 4px !important;
    border: none!important;
    padding: 3px !important;
}

input.cf-box-a, input.cf-box-b {
    margin:3px 0pt 0pt !important;
}

.cform input.sendbutton {
background:transparent url(../images/button-bg.gif) repeat-x !important;
font-size:0.8em;
margin:5px 3px 4px 0pt!important
padding:5px!important;
width:150px!important;
}

Also, is there a way for the form to show up at the bottom of each post without someone having to click on the Comments link and be taken to another page?

Isn't that what're doing already, having it at the end of a post?

Thanks for the help. This did clean up some of the pixel issues that you mentioned. Basically, what I see is that in IE all the right fields show up, but in FF, it's missing name, email, and website. How can it be missing fields in one browser and not the other?

As to my second question, some clarification…what I meant is that a user has to click on a comment link (i.e., the comment box isn't open by default at the end of the post) and then is taken to a page with the post and the comment box at the bottom. is there a way to have the comment box appear at the end of every post without the extra click?

Thanks for your help.

Are you logged in as a user when browsing with FF? If so, of course the form will not show  name, email, and website. :-)

As to my second question, some clarification…what I meant is that a user has to click on a comment link (i.e., the comment box isn't open by default at the end of the post) and then

Sorry for being a bit dense, I still don't fully get it. The usual WP setup is, that on the front page (index.php) you have all your posts/excerpts. No comment form. Now if you click on a post to get to the post page, you'll also find the comment form at the bottom.

How do you want to change the page-flow/work-flow?
