Html emal template and checkbox group

[desc]: First of all… awesome plugin!!

I have a little problem with checkbox groups.  As you can see i have a long form with some checkbox groups.

With the old version of the plugin the admin email doesn't work correctly. I couldn't see the chekbox if they're not selected and the email template was displaied not aligned, with irremediable lost of important data.

Now I updated to the latest version (6.1) and the email html template displays the form data correctly (without loosing anything;) but whithout the necessary formatting code to highlight the most important values.

My question is:

How is it possible to edit the current email html template?

If it's not possible to change the current html email template…how can I display the checkbox data in the  non-Html email template?

Example

{Form Name}= Name insert in the form
{Date}= Form date                                                                                {Page}= The page containing form
{IP}= Sender's Ip

And for chekbox groups??

Something like this?!?

(Name of the field) Sottilina:  (Value of checkbox1) {250gr. circa} (Value of checkbox2) {500gr circa} (Value of checkbox3) {1kg circa}

No. Because this doesn't work :(

Could you help me?

Thanks. Pietro

Thank you Pietro for the detailed info.

The admin email message you can 100% customize and tailor to your needs. Simply uncheck "Include data…" and provide your very own HTML template (the body).

You should be able to use any HTML editor to do that, simply embed the input field variables in the proper places.

For check boxes, e.g. "Bonifico Bancario" simply add {Bonifico Bancario} in the right place, for "250gr. circa" it be {250gr. circa}

The variables are used the same for TXT and HTML part of the message.

If this is what you tried and it's not working, please send me a backup of your form and I'll double check.

Also, not sure if this is exactly what you wanted, but why not use a Radio Button instead of three check boxes for 250gr. circa, 500gr circa & 1kg circa. I assume the user should only select one, right?

EDIT: Sorry I missed that these are check box groups. The variable in this case would be the the field label only, which I think you omitted, hence it's not working (my guess).

Hi Oliver!

Thanks for your quick support.

Unfortunately i'm not able to make it work correctly. :(

If i "Enable html" the admin email is displaying the form data with wrong formatting.

So i left the "admin html solution" and i tryed also a "non html" email template solution whitout success. This is what i have into cform admin:

And HERE you can find the Form Backup.

I hope to solve the situation with your help!

Pietro

RESOLVED

I noticed that you still hadn't applied actual labels to the check box group fields. With the labels in place it works, e.g:

Sottilina#250gr. circa#500gr circa#1kg circa
Capocollo#250gr. circa#500gr circa#1kg circa
Casereccia#250gr. circa#500gr circa#1kg circa

With these in place you can setup your HTML admin message to look like, e.g.:

<table  width="400px" bgcolor="#d9e2ff">
    <tr><th align="left">Products of Interest</th><th align="left">Amounts</th></tr>
    <tr><td>Sottilina</td><td>{Sottilina}</td></tr>
    <tr><td>Capocollo</td><td>{Capocollo}</td></tr>
    <tr><td>Casereccia</td><td>{Casereccia}</td></tr>
</table>

Which the email client would display as:

Products of Interest Amounts
Sottilina 250gr. circa,500gr circa
Capocollo 250gr. circa,500gr circa,1kg circa
Casereccia 1kg circa

Please note that there is currently a limitation when it comes to multiple input fields having the same label, e.g:

Size#250gr. circa#500gr circa#1kg circa
Size#350gr. circa#600gr circa#2kg circa
Size#450gr. circa#700gr circa#3kg circa

Only the last Size field will be in fact recorded. This will be fixed in v6.2, together with a n enhanced tracking view to support this:

Fieldset: Sottilina (10 € /Kg)

Size# 250gr. circa#500gr circa#1kg circa

Fieldset: Capocollo (20 € /Kg)

Size# 250gr. circa#500gr circa#1kg circa
