Please replace the ??? with your data!

  • Your URL: http://syngamer.com
  • The browser used: Firefox 2.0.0.11
  • cforms version: 7.0
  • Your Wordpress version: 2.3

[desc]: Everytime i click 'Update Settings' in the Global Settings, i am redirected to my error page.  Specifically, i was trying to enable the SMTP option and fill in the required information and when i click update, i am redirected to my error page.

Upon returning to the global settings > smtp page, none of the information i entered had been saved thus resulting in my contact form not sending e-mails...

redirected to my error page.

What  is your error page? A 404 or something else?

Do you have issues 'Updating' any of the cforms settings?

Are you running on IIS? And/or have a WP blog prefix: ie.

http://syngamer.com/blogprefix ?

I can update the Configuration settings and styling, but global isn't working.  My hosting has the following:

Operating system: Linux
Kernel version: 2.6.18-8.el5
Machine Type: i686
Apache version: 1.3.37 (Unix)
PERL version: 5.8.8
PHP version: 4.4.7
MySQL version: 4.1.22-standard
cPanel Build: 11.11.0-STABLE 16999

My site is simply http://syngamer.com with no prefix or redirecting. When i click update settings for the SMTP, my url changes from;

http://syngamer.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=contactforms/cforms-global-settings.php

to;

http://syngamer.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=contactforms/cforms-global-settings.php#smtp

This triggers my404 page.

Thanks again Oliver for trying to find the problem.  Still not sure what would be preventing the files from updating.

Here is another thought which might be worth to take a look at: your .htaccess file (in /wp-admin !).

Try adding this to it:

<IfModule mod_security.c>
SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off
</IfModule>

Here is also an interesting article about it.

That worked perfectly.  I was able to set it up so that mail went straight to my gmail account.  Thanks again!

Just a quick Thank You for your perfect support. I had a "500 Error" issue and put that code in my .htaccess, now everything works fine.

OT: Your Blog makes me hungry ;)

Best regards

Anke
