I have just upgraded my test wversion of Wordpress to 2.8 and I have a problem with CForms.
When I try to activate this plugin I receive this message:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_cf_plugindir() in /var/www/html/www.nomesito.it/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/cforms/lib_activate.php on line 8
Moreover in admin pages I have this warning:
Warning: call_user_func_array() [function.call-user-func-array]: First argument is expected to be a valid callback, 'cforms_dashboard_27_setup' was given in /var/www/html/http://www.nomesito.it/htdocs/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 339
Can you help me? I have just searched in this forum and in Google but without success.

you may have to reinstall cforms and make sure there are no old cforms files lingering around

I have solved the issue by re-installing 10.5 version and then patching with 10.5.1 and then 10.5.2 .
Last time I skipped the 10.5.1 patch thinking that it was included in 10.5.2… is it possible that skipping an update may cause this problem?

Hey there… just upgraded to WP 2.8. Deleted my old cforms plugin, and installed 10.5.2. (Applied the patch to the full 10.5 folder locally, then uploaded) When I try to activate it, I recieve the fatal error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in ……/wp-content/plugins/cforms/lib_email.php on line 3
I've tried reinstalling several times with no luck. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

That's because you're own PHP4.
I can send you v10.6 beta, which will again support PHP4, let me know if you want a copy to test.

Hey Oliver,
thanks for responding. I use DreamHost, which I *think* does have PHP5. But I guess if I'm getting that error than maybe not.
If you're willing to share the beta, I'd try it out—-it's better than having no contact form at all!

I'm experiencing the same problem as well, I'm on goDaddy. I'm guessing they are still on Php 4. I'm getting the error:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}

Actually I was able to update php on my server to php5 so that fixed it.

Hi everybody,
I've got the same problem with the 2.8 version en cforms 10.5 (even with the patches 10.5.1 & 10.5.2).
My version of PHP is 5.
Please could you send me the beta 10.6 too ?
