Trying to extract data from the database…Who is brave enough to answer this riddle:
The data from cforms is stored not in a simple flat table but a complex table and a single form entry record is actually consuming numbers of rows with different mapping. So there is no simple way to extract the data using an sql query.. and it requires complex code just as the same way cforms has done. But this code is not working, perhaps due to resource limitations of our web host provider. This is somewhat expected due to the large size of the database I have, as these kind of queries do take time and resources to process and may fail with a larger set of records. If I select a few records, I'm able to export the data in csv, so the function is working correctly but there is nothing which I can use to filter data.
Someone asked same question which went unanswered here: http://www.deliciousdays.com/cforms-forum/troubles…..-csvtab/ However, I managed to extract the form submission and user email id. The table structure is complex and needs to do a lot of joints to fetch data. The problem with this plugin is that all the forms are dynamic and therefore its not flat table, so to fetch single record it joins several tables and then makes multiple queries for a single record. This is where it fails or stops responding.
What is the answer – how do I make this work?
I don't know if you're still around checking the forums, but if you are, here's your answer:
