Please replace the ??? with your data!
- Your URL: http://womansportsblog.com
- The browser used: Firfox 2.0.0.13, Safari, IE
- cforms version: v8.1
- Your Wordpress version: 2.3.2
I’ve tested the contact form several times, and each time I get the error message: “Error occurred while sending the message:”
Any thoughts on why I’m getting this?

Are you using the SMTP feature of cforms?
Does/can your blog send emails to you at all (admin emails etc.)?

I received the same errors. I'd rather have the cformsII than the boring one thats currently on our webpage, but its frustrating!
I even went in and made a wordpress@venturenetiowa.com account to accomodate for the default in the program. Anything I'm missing?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Oliver,
I've noticed that when people make comments, I don't receive those update emails either. Not sure of any other instances when WP would send me emails.
Thanks!

Sorry, didn't answer this part in the previous post. I'm not sure which I'm using. I pretty much just installed the forms, activated it, made sure the "Button Support" was on, went to my contact page, clicked the button, re-wrote what ever copy I had above and voila. Then when I went to test, I got that error message.

It appears that your host is not allowing you to use the PHP mail() command, are you with GoDaddy by any chance?
Anyway, you can configure cforms to use SMTP to connect to a remote SMTP mail server for email delivery. This could be gmail.com or any other mail provider supporting an SMTP connection.
They would also be able to tell you how to configure cforms (with the given config fields) properly to make a successful SMTP connection.
Also, the FROM: address may be important, since many mail providers require it to be set to something *they* know (and trust)!
