Empty TinyMCE Popup Window in Editor

Hello,

I’ve just installed this for the
first time… and when I’m trying to insert a form into the edit area for page content… I click the little TinyMCE button icon to
insert a form, then a pop-up comes up that is empty. I’ve tried in FF
and IE, and the same thing happens. I'm using the latest version of WP, and the latest version of this plugin.

I've tried disabling my other plugins, and I've tried reinstalling this plugin, and no luck.

Any idea why I'm not able to see anything in that popup window so I can select a form to insert?

It may be worth noting that I am able to insert the widget for this in the sidebar and it does work… but I want the form in a page, not in the sidebar.

Let me know if there is an answer out there.

Many thanks!

Turning off TinyMCE in your WP user profile and using the core WP code editor, do you see the button then?

Okay, just turned it off in the Global Settings area of your plugin, and the button no longer appears in the editor button area.

Wonder why this isn't working for me… makes no sense : (

It didn't answer my question though…

Maybe I'm not understanding your question correctly? If so, my appologies.

I assume that the "core WP code editor" you mean the standard editor where I enter in content?

Am I way off in my understanding of your question?

Thanks

No worries.

Out of the box, WP comes with its own basic 'code' editor, TinyMCE has been added a while ago, but wasn't there from begin with. You still have the option to turn off TinyMCE in your WP user profile 'Use the visual editor when writing'.

When you do that it reverts back to its standard editor, not fancy but certainly more transparent.

cforms works with both. Give it a shot and let me know if you get a button with the std editor and whether it works or not.

OMG, that worked! So… there's an issue with the fancy visual editor… but at least I can use your great forms if I turn it off temporarily.

Thanks for your prompt help!

You're welcome. Good to know that the button mechanism generally works, which leaves us with the question why your TinyMCE is not.

Resolved. It had to with the fact that your site's URL includes an "offset": /blog/

I'll make sure that in v6.1 this is being better supported, for the time being, the workaround is to edit contactforms/js/insertdialog.php (at the top)

[...]
$wwwURI = $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'];
$x = strpos($wwwURI,'/wp-content/');
$tinyURI = substr($wwwURI,0,$x) . '/wp-includes/js/tinymce';
[...]
