I've done extensive research on this site on this topic.  It has to do with the "FROM: email address" under the "Core Form Admin / Email Options" section of cforms.

I have a plugin that changes the default wordpress@yourdomain.com to an email address I have within my dreamhost account vp@canadi...training.com

Here is what I noticed...

1. When I create a new form using cforms the "FROM: email address" correctly displays the vp@canadi...training.com

2. When I DUPLICATE a form (even if a new form was created with the vp@canadi...training.com email address) it reverts back to wordpress@canadi...training.com

Oliver, is this a bug?

Thanks,

Andy

ps. the canadi...training.com is an abbrv. of the full domain. I didn't want to type it all the time.

Yep, that element should also be copied 1:1.  Thanks for catching it...

My first bug ever!

looking forward to the fix. it'll save me soooo much time..

I think I may have found a new bug..

The "Limit Text" field under the Core Form Admin / Email Options section doesn't seem to update.  no matter what css styling i use after saving it always reverts back to

Add a zero (= unlimited) to it, this should fix it. I can send you v9.2 beta...if you like & your email is correct.

thanks, that fixed it!  it's just that v9.1 says "[empty = no limit] " and that confused me. Maybe that should change to [0 = no limit]

yes, please send me v9.2

Usually the empty string does work, but I found out that for some users (don't ask me why) the zero does the trick.

Oliver,

Yes, I got it. I uploaded v9.2 beta and tested it. Here are my results.

1. Duplicate Form: This now works. When duplicating it remembers the email addresses and all the settings. I did notice that it duplicates the form name as well.

Duplicate Form Name: I liked the previous way where it would insert the word "duplicate" in the form name. So this functionality has changed and I personally preferred it the old way.

2. Limit Text: This is still not working when you leave the field blank.  When the field is left blank the text and html/css you apply in the box is not saved. You have to put a 0 in the "Limit" field above to have it's changes saved.

I also noticed that the Limit Text box is not displayed when you create a new form. It only get's displayed after you hit "Update Settings>>" in the Core Form Admin / Email Options section.

Either way I'm happy the Duplicate works except for the form name that alos gets duplicated I think I can live with that if I pay attention.

  1. this will be fixed, ie. the new name will have a (copy..) addendum
  2. 'limit text' indeed only shows up if a value is given for limit (in fact a feature ;-)

thanks for testing!

the final v9.2 will #1 covered.
