DB Error when using CForms for the first time

Hi there,

I've just installed the latest version of cforms on a test site (http://www.avalon5.com/stables) and I've hit the following error message when I try to enable the option to display the last few submissions on the dashboard:-

WordPress database error: [Table 'avalon5.wpstables_cformssubmissions' doesn't exist]
SELECT * FROM wpstables_cformssubmissions WHERE form_id in ('','2') ORDER BY sub_date DESC LIMIT 0,5

I've looked up all the install and readme text and I don't think I missed a step, but I guess somewhere a db table was supposed to be created. Can you either point me to the right step that I missed, or give me the sql code to create the db table correctly please? Thanks.

For dashboard support, make sure you also enable cforms DB Tracking.

Hi Oliver,

It's been a long time since we last talked. We used to talk via e-mail, this is the first time I come to your support forum. Wink

And I come because I need your support.

The issue has to do with what c0y0te said on his post. I've been getting the same error message from WordPress but in another circumstances.

I used to be a happy user of cforms 4.8 on WordPress 2.2.1 until today. Then an user of mine warned me that, when he sent me a message via cforms, he got the following response message (although his contact message was sent normally):

WordPress database error: [Table 'am_wrdp1.wp_cformssubmissions' doesn't exist]
INSERT INTO wp_cformssubmissions (form_id,email,ip) VALUES ('2', 'x@x.x', '189.13.221.206');

WordPress database error: [Table 'am_wrdp1.wp_cformsdata' doesn't exist]
select LAST_INSERT_ID() as number from wp_cformsdata;

WordPress database error: [Table 'am_wrdp1.wp_cformsdata' doesn't exist]
INSERT INTO wp_cformsdata (sub_id,field_name,field_val) VALUES ('1','page','http://x'),('1','Nome','X'),('1','E-mail','xyz@xyz.com'),('1','Website','http://'),

('1','Cidade/UF','x'),('1','Como tomou contato conosco?','Link em outro site'),('1','Mensagem','x'),('1','Digite

os caracteres da imagem','m66ur')

I haven't noticed the issue until he warned me today, so I don't know for how long it's happening.

I've just upgraded to cforms 6.1 but the problem remains.

Suggestions?

Thanks a lot,

Marcelo Todaro

Marcelo, can you please remind me what your URL is?

Also, have you checked that am_wrdp1.wp_cformssubmissions is in fact existing?

If am_wrdp1 still your database? And wp_ your prefix?

Does your tracking page show the latest entries or is it not showing anything?

Hi Oliver!

Thanks for your reply.

Marcelo, can you please remind me what your URL is?

http://applemania.info/?page_id=421

Also, have you checked that am_wrdp1.wp_cformssubmissions is in fact existing?

No it doesn't exist. But that's exactly the mistery: the form was working fine, so we presume the tables were there and for some reason they vanished.

But here is the question: cforms creates the proper tables when it's installed and activated, doesn't it? So how could they just disappear?

If am_wrdp1 still your database? And wp_ your prefix?

That's for sure. They remain the same since when created, in February. All other plugins based on the same database work fine.

Does your tracking page show the latest entries or is it not showing anything?

You got me. I don't know what page is that. Could you enlighten my ignorance please? Embarassed

Thanks a lot,

Marcelo

The Tracking page gets displayed once you enable cforms DB tracking, which will record all user inputs into the above mentioned tables.

It allows you to view each submission, sort, filter, print, download and (with or without attachments) & delete the entires.
