I am using cforms11 V6 – great plugin. I have a question just to see if you think this is possible.

I have a list of events. Each event has a link to the same cform – which is basically for someone to book to attend the event. U can see: click the book this event button to get to the form.

Rather than having the user have to enter the name of the event in the field – "event or promo name", would there be a way to have the name of the specific event passed from that page to the form when the user clicks "book this event"?

So all they would have to fill in is their contact info and the event name and date would be sent to the form recipient.

Any thoughts would ber great.

That's quite easy to solve. Simpy configure the URI that points to the form to include the field ID  and preset value.

Instead of using this link:

Try that:…..d_1=abcdef

Hi Oliver,

Very nice! Thanks for that. Easier than I thought. So let me see – cf3 refers to the third form i have, _field_1 is the first field I want populated and then the data?

What if I want to fill in a second field as well? Ive tried:

?cf3_field_1=abcfed?cf3_field_3=abcfed to fill in the first and third field.

And is it ok to have spaces such as  ?cf3_field_1=My name is Robert – as i notice it is adding a %20 when i go back in WP text editor.

Thanks for the help

The link then would be:

It requires an & to concatenate multiple keys/values.

In order to pick the right field ID you can always open your web page in HTML CODE mode (via your browser) and take a look at the HTML code itself. It makes it easier than guessing :-)
