[desc]: cFormsII conflicts with the Admin Drop Down Menus (v 2.5.3), making most of the menu options disappear, and the WP-native right-most menu items to appear. No other plugin that I've seen conflicts with the menu plugin in this manner, so I'm hesitant to blame the menu plugin itself for this error.
Here's a multi-screenshot showing what the menus are supposed to look like with the Admin Drop Down Menus plugin (the plugins page) and what it looks like on any of the cFormsII configuration pages:

It does look like an incompatibility. I for instance use 'Admin Drop Down Menu' by Ozh, which works 100% just fine.

I'm wondering it this has to do with the fact that Ozh's plugin (which I had an awfully hard time finding on wordpress.org – searching for "Admin Drop Down Menu" in plugins brings up 92 pages of hits, most of which are irrelevant) puts its drop-down menus at the very top of the screen, whereas the one I'm using puts them in place of the default menus, below the site name. I've also contacted the author of the other plugin. He should be in a better position than I to figure out where the problem lies. If the incompatibility isn't solved, it's good to know that there's another admin menu plugin that will work with cforms.
Thanks for the response.

Yes Erik that's the one. Ozh's 'Admin Drop Down Menu' on Google ranks #1 :-)
