I also found 2 fixes (workarounds?) to this problem:
1. Uncheck the "Ajax enabled" box (next to the form name under Form Settings) and then update settings.
OR
2. Under Global Settings > Mail Server Settings .. Enable an external SMTP server, and complete server details. Then udpate settings.
Perhaps these solutions/workarounds should be added to the FAQ section for those that want an alternative simple solution rather than the more complex task of editing code and files.

Can I also please suggest that it would be better if the moderator on this forum refrained from sarcastic remarks about people's lack of ability to navigate/search the forum and just simply try to be as helpful as possible.
We are the users that will ultimately promote, donate, and hopefully contribute to the ongoing success of this otherwise great application. No need for arrogance to tarnish your brand. Thanks.

I hear you Mark, sometimes it's annoying if one receives a sarcastic comment on top of the damage.
BUT, the reality is, that 97% of all requests have been addressed before, so either that person asking the question thinks that our time is less valuable than theirs (not bothering to search or read the FAQs), lazy or simply new to WP, coding etc.
As to your statement above "will ultimately promote, donate, and hopefully contribute to the ongoing success", here is a reality check:
Over the last 6 years that I have worked on this plugin for free ( incl. free support in my spare time) & roughly 1.4 million downloads, I have received an average of 4-6 donations per month, with an average of 5-10 dollars, with the occasional exception of a very happy user (Thank you!). I appreciate each and every donation, equally as much as code contributions or online reviews. A few write-ups & tutorials I've seen in the early days, not anymore, code contributions only once.
The moral of the story, users on the internet more than ever expect everything for free including my and Paul's time. When they "tease" with a future or possible donation, experience shows they NEVER back it up.
So, it's not arrogance but realization of what the situation is and I guess a way of dealing with it.

You shouldn't be afraid of charging for this plugin, its very useful and a number of plugins have a free version and then a pro version with support and customising. Clearly many people use it and if just 20% paid $5-$10 then its a proper business

Hello,
I am having a similar problem.
I am using version 14.1 of cforms (I believe this is the latest version).
I have followed these steps of the FAQ:
- Migrated my site, including cforms plugin
- Check/Adjust abspath.php for correct path: This is the correct abspath
- Check/Adjust js/cforms.js for correct path: This is the correct plugin path
- Clear your browser cache etc.: Clear cache and restart my browser.

Hi Kevin,
The latest cforms version is 14.2, always check the cforms home page.
There are few steps that you need to take when moving your WP installation, check the WP Codex for details on this topic.

Congratulations for your very useful and powerful plug-in.
I had no problem with CForms 13.1 and WordPress 3.3.2.
Since I upgraded to WordPress 3.4, the Save & Update button was not shown. I upgraded to CForms 14.5, but now when a user submits a form, it hangs on "One moment please". However the email is sent correctly.
I have read the FAQ, updated the abspath.php and checks that cforms.js was good.
Can you help me ?
Thank you very much.

OfflineStill having the issue?
Make sure to upload the new cforms version to a new directory, don't just overwrite the old one.
Also, ensure to clear all caches (browser etc.).
9:43 am
I have copied cForms 14.5 to a new directory. I have checked again abspath.php and cforms.js. I have cleared all caches. But it still hangs on "One moment please".
And I didn't have this problem on cForms 13.1 and WordPress 3.3.2.

Sorry, it was my fault.
It was not working because I have a function named db() like yours.
This issue is now closed. Thank you.

I'm having the same issue. I tried to change the email addresses (FROM, admin and BCC) which seemed to cause the form to not work ('one moment please…') and now there seems to be no save button so can't make changes. Please help!

Hello, I am having a bit of trouble with this plugin. It seems a similar issue to what is covered in this thread. I have followed the suggested steps with the abspath and cforms.js verification and the clearing of my cache.
Couple things:
1) This was a clean install of 14.5 on WP 3.4.1
2) I have used cforms before on other sites and have not encountered this problem.
3) I have tried toggling plugins to see if there is a conflict.
The problem is that when I fill out the form and hit sumbit (with or without requried fields filled in) it simply refreshes the page. it does not produce any error messages. it does not hide the form and display a thank you message. It does not send the admin email, auto response nor populate the info into the DB tracking.
It does return the page with the /#usermessagea appended to the url.
I have tried this in the latest FF, Chrome and IE browsers.
As a last resort I toggled to the WP defualt themes. Not surprisingly it worked.
Any suggestions on what may be causing the conflict with my current them?
http://laperladelcaribe.com/reservations/ is the location of the form.
thanks
Rob

Okay with some JS hunting and trial and error i have deduced that the themes "Overlabel" feature was the culprit… Guess regular CSS will have to style the buttons in a safe way :-)
Apologies if I polluted thread :-)

Dear all,
I am experiencing the very same issue with my blog. Comments were working fine for the last 4 years until 29/01/13.
I checked :
- cforms.js => absolute path inside
- abspath.php => OK (tried to remove it an checked that error message is the same as in the file)
- chmoded every folder starting with wp-contents and below with 775
- Cleaned caches and relaunched browser
If I uncheck Ajax, it still behaves badly => it tries to access http://www.annelaurejacquart.com/wp-content/plugin…..omment.php
Wordpress version is 3.5.1
cforms version is 11.3 and WP comments form is enabled
Site is http://www.annelaurejacquart.com
Any help would be welcomed since I tried everything posted here (I think)
Thanks in advance
