Hi my friends,
I have installed cforms in my website (http://techhamlet.com/contact-us/) and it worked fine for a very long time. But when i checked today, its not working! When i fill the form and click submit, it says "One moment please…" and nothing happens! Have any idea why this is happening?
Thanks

I have a similar problem! Only difference is that I did not have it working.
Is there any answer for this?

I've made this thread a sticky thread because even though this topic has been covered 1000x in this forum again and again, apparently people don't like to search.
99% of all the 'one moment please' issues are covered in the FAQs, start there.
If you do post here, please provide MORE DETAIL, especially around everything you have checked and tried!
Thanks!
Paul.
PS: any new threads on this topic I'll close and point to this one.

excuse me if I am missing something obvious, but where's the FAQ's section? I can't seem to find a link to that section anywhere.

Hello Paul,
I love to read FAQ but this time, the FAQ is not giving me the solution I need.
It says:
- Go to the Javascript folder in your cforms plugin directory
- Check / Modifiy js/cforms.js
cforms should auto guess the right
sajax_uri
setting, however if it doesn't, feel free to enter the complete relative path to where your
/cforms/lib_ajax.php
file resides!
I M P O R T A N T: you MUST flush your browser cache after changing cforms.js for it to pick up the new file, better yet, restart the browser.
when inside cforms.js I see:
// ONLY in case AJAX DOESN'T work you may want to double-check this path:
// If you do change this setting: CLEAR your BROWSER CACHE & RESTART you BROWSER!
// OLD SETTING: var sajax_uri = '/wp-content/plugins/cforms/lib_ajax.php';
// DYNAMIC NEW SETTING, if the below doesn't work, please try the above
var sajax_uri = window.location.protocol + "//" + window.location.host+'/wp-content/plugins/cforms/lib_ajax.php';
Then…where is the modification?
Should I delete "// OLD SETTING:"?
Where I put the suggested relative path?
Can you please paste the entire text to replace the current cforms.js
Thanks!

I changed the setting to the actual path and it fixed my problem. So, on the line that begins with "var sajax_uri =" (not preceded by // – those are comment lines and not actually part of the functional code) try entering the path to your lib_ajax.php file, so the line will look something like this:
var sajax_uri = 'http://yourdomain.co……php';
I had never had any problems with it until I did the latest automatic upgrade of Cforms. When I did that, my forms disappeared completely, and I had to do a manual install of the Cforms version that is on the Delicious Days site, which is a different version than the automatic upgrade was. Fixable, but frustrating. Have to say that Cforms is worth it though- it has made my life so much easier!
HTH.

Paul -
My contact form is hanging on "one moment please…". I went into the cforms.js file and changed the path for lib_ajax.php from relative to absolute. I cleared the cache and tried it on several browsers and it's still hanging. Please help!

I just completely deleted:
"OLD SETTING: var sajax_uri = '/wp/wp-content/plugins/cforms/lib_ajax.php';"
from my /js/cforms.js file. Mine line was not commented out. After flushing my cache, nothing seemed to change, but the error went away.
Hopefully it is fixed.

My question is the same – Where are the FAQs? I typed FAQ in the search box and said not found. I have the one moment please and nothing in these few emails helps me – over my head. Anything basic?

I have the same problem in IE and Safari, I have checked the Faq and that didn't fix the problem, however for me the form works fine in Firefox.
I get no error messages or anything else that could indicate were I can find and/or fix the problem except for the fact that it doesn't go any further than the 'One moment please' message.
Does someone have an idea what this can be?
The website is in dutch so I don't know if it'll help but here is the link to the form: http://shirt-stunter…..l/offerte/
Right now the form works again because I enabled the Ajax setting, but I don't know anything about Ajax so I am not sure if that is a smart thing to do.

I just want to confirm what several people have reported.
For me, all CForms on the site work correctly in all browsers EXCEPT when the form includes a file upload field. When a form does include a file upload field, it works correctly in Firefox (8) and IE (9), but does not work in Chrome (15) or Safari (5) on Windows or Mac.
Given the correct functioning in FF and IE, this leads me to think the issue is with the plugin, not with the configuration on my end. Any help/suggestions? I'll be happy to supply any other details that may help if you let me know what you need.
Thank you for the work on this plugin … it's otherwise awesome!

Just verified: With Chrome/Safari on PC the upload works fine. Perhaps it's a browser setting or funny server behavior, with the default theme & WP 3.x (and the latest cforms version) the upload works fine.

Using firefox and 13.1 V Cforms and WP 3.3.1. Have the "please wait a moment…." above the form But then the following on a separate page:
"Duplicate comment detected; it looks as though you’ve already said that!"
When I drop the FORM into an new page, it works just one time… and then reverts to the non functional behavior as above.
Please advise. Cannot find this in any of the FAQ's.

Hi!
The "Duplicate content" error is afaik coming from WP, based on thinking that that comment has already been posted.
Paul.
