I have wordpress 2.7.1. I just installed cforms, but when I click on "Activate", I'm getting this message error:
The plugin could not be activated because of a fatal error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /homez.133/sparecas/www/wp-content/plugins/cforms/lib_email.php on line 3
I have PHP5 running my blog and this form is still showing the parse error for me. I have used this form for several years and have enjoyed it. My error message is similar to the original writer.
Also, can you please provide exact err messages in case they deviate from the above (post #1) as well as a URL to a test PHP file including a phpinfo() statement to see the complete PHP configuration?
In case you don't know how, simply create a new file with the following content:
I too am having these "fatal errors' when I try to add the patch. I have the latest version of WP and am have PHP 5.2.5
Error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare cforms_activate() (previously declared in /home/content/t/i/p/XXXXXX/html/wp-content/plugins/cforms/cforms.php:56) in /home/content/t/i/p/XXXXXX/html/wp-content/plugins/cforms.php on line 59
Do I need to first instal the patch 10.5.1?
Thanks for any help, your plugin look amazing. I hope I can use it!
I am also getting the same error when I try to activate the plugin.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /hsphere/local/home/payamr/payamrajabi.com/wp-content/plugins/cforms/lib_email.php on line 3
My wordpress has always been php5… I deactivated the plugin then upgraded then tried to reactivate it? boo no luck error message… the same as above. :(
