Cforms has a problem with umlauts aka accented characters like õ,ä,ö,ü.
Lets say you have a form filed with name "Tänav"
When confirmation e-mail is sent to admin (and user) the field "Tänav" becomes "Tnav" because letter "ä" is removed.
This is a serious problem, when form field has _data_ with letters like "õ ä ö ü" because "Rääma" becomes "Rma".
õ ä ö ü are OK in database but not in e-mails that get sent out.
How can I fix this?
Yes, we use UTF-8 and yes, everithing else works fine with accented characters.

not on my german server.

that i guess depends on a number of things, e.g. language (double byte), charset settings, possibly browser, email client etc.

it works on the emails I receive.

can you set up a URL with an example form and a CC option to test?

EVERYTHING else works just fine on this server except the cforms e-mails as described.

either add a CC field to the form, or send it to my email in cforms.php (top).
also, try v10.5 beta first (above main download button)

most german users don't seem to have that problem, infact I've only recently heard twice about it, after roughly 2500 downloads of cform 10.5.
got url?

Sorry to say, but I have the same problem with umlauts (besides an easy to deactivate auto-magically activated "forward to this website after send"-option in each and every form I created).
It started with the patch of the previous version and it continues to exist on WP 2.7.1 DE and cforms 10.5 with the DE language-pack from sven wappler's site.
Here is the source of a demo-e-mail sent from the new form:
http://pastebin.com/f65c89f6a
It should say: Test ÄÖÜ, äöü ß.
If you need further information, please tell me, I'll be glad to send it to you!

Thanks for solving this, Oliver!
To all:
Please triple-check your e-mail-settings and do the checking yourself! Do not rely on any other person, especially IT-staff.
Try first the two options given in global settings, send and re-send e-mails and then, then write to this forum!
The plugin is okay, definitely!

I have the same Problem with german umlauts send by cforms:
The umlauts in teh subject of submitted ails are ok, only the umlauts typed in the fields of the cform formular are wrong.
I try to change settings in the global sttings, but it doesn't helps.
I use another plugin in this wordpres blogg -> dmsguestbook, all umlauts send by this formular ar very good. Only the Formular data send by cform doesn't work.
Do you have a solution for this problem?

Sorry, I'm not sure what the issue is, it works fine in my environment using German Umlauts.
Try a different email client (e.g. web mailer etc.) and see if the problem persist.
Also what is the charset in your email client (display option), in the email itself (email header) and on your website?
