When using the DatePicker within cForms to allow site visitors to click a calendar icon to display a small calendar, IE9 will return the Javascript error DOM Exception: INVALID_CHARACTER_ERR when the site visitor clicks on the calendar (the effect being no calendar will display).
On investigation, this is caused by the bgiFrame plugin (used by cforms 11.8) looking at the UA string for the browser to see if 6.0 exists within it. In IE9, part of this UA string has 6.0 in it, and therefore the bgiFrame plugin is wrongly loaded. See http://stackoverflow…..ion-in-ie9 for an explanation on this.
This is not a fault of cforms 11.8 itself, but rather the jQuery bgiFrame plugin.
As of writing this post, there is no official update from the bgiFrame plugin to fix this, per the current active issue over on the GitHub page at https://github.com/brandonaaron/bgiframe/issues/3, which links to a proposed fix at http://blog.robobrie…..-bgiframe/

For some reason calendar.js is packed or something similar.
I can't apply this patch myself because I don't find the bgiFrame buggy code.
I need a solution asap … how do I unpack and correct that JS ?

As the name suggests, it's an example and hence the file should be readable.
cforms-example-comments.php.txt
