I have been upgrading a form all day, and captcha has been working great. Then, all of a sudden, it keeps not showing the image, and hanging the whole page. I can't even get to the cformsII->global settings page in the admin area. I don't think I changed anything with in captcha, besides the default image height, and I did that early on, without this bug happening.

there seems to be a general issue with your web server, since it times out while loading the page and especially when trying to load:

I have the same problem. When I activate cforms, all my pages load slowly then hangs. I turn it off, everything works fne. It was working fine when all of a sudden this happened. I did not change anything within cforms. I too can not get to the Global settings.I wanted to delete all data cforms created and then maybe re-install but I can't get to the Global settings. O.o

Yes, but for me, the problem only happens in this specific instance:

1. I try to load a form with a captcha image

2. I try to load pages from this same website in the same browser that I performed #1 in.

After captcha is taken off of the form, or I restart the browser and load pages without captcha, everything is fine with the server. Perhaps this was implicit in your email, that the problems are with the captcha php file.

I did notice that while the pages are "hanging" that there is a message that says google analytics is retrieving data . . . is there a conflict between the two? Like I said, I was updating the form all day and had no problems until late in the day.

Since this is a live website, I had to take captcha off of all of my forms.

Any help is appreciated. I will likely leave captcha off of the forms, and try again after updating to the new cforms.

It's odd, but it does seem that there is some form of conflict causing the server to hang when requesting the captcha image…I have no idea what could cause this, since I can't replicate, but do list (if they're not too many) your plugins…
