I'm trying to figure out a software conflict in WordPress 2.8.4 – the cforms plugin v11, when activated, causes the Edit Pages admin page:
/wp-admin/edit-pages.php
to come up blank – no source at all.
Looking at the server error logs I see this error:
128.138.149.75 – - [15/Sep/2009:15:19:46 -0600] "GET / HTTP/1.0" 302 305 "-" "check_http/v1991 (nagios-plugins 1.4.12)"
is this related?
Not a show-stopper, but the plugin must be disabled to allow page editing (but not for editing POSTS…?)
Any suggestions welcome.

Note, ignore the error log info, that's a monitoring program, it's okay. I'm wondering if it could be a JQuery conflict between cforms (which uses v1.3.2) and NAVT (which uses v1.2.1). Both plug-ins work ALONE but not together. Also, the tracking table in cforms doesn't appear. I can view ALL records and export but can't choose specific ones.
This is an amazing plugin, just can't work without it. Happy to perform tests/diagnostics.
sir!

Yes, for editing posts/pages, cforms needs to be disabled.
Just kidding. Try turning off all other plugins to find out which causes the conflict. If cforms doesn't find jQuery 1.3.2 (which should come with the latest WP version) it'll load its own v1.3.2 – but only for its own pages.
Check the 'editor' settings under Gobal Settings, too. TinyMCE fix and/or turning off editor support.
'white pages' may also indicate low PHP mem settings.

Traced it to Dagon Design Sitemap Generator and Jerome's Keywords/Keywords Manager, Akismet and SimpleViewer.
YOWTCH. That's a lot of things I'll have to do without. SIGH! But at least now we can edit pages without turning off all the site forms.
Sir, you may mark this issue 'Resolved' – it was NOT cforms fault.
A thousand pardons, O' Illustrious One.
(bows/scrapes/crawls out of sight)

What causes these conflicts? Is there any way for a plugin author to avoid them? Can the WordPress application help detect/avoid them? Just curious.

some one else mentioned that the SEO plug changes the blog's URL on the fly, that might be an issue…trouble shooting these things is the hardest part and should be done by the conflicting plugin author :-)
