[desc]: Hi Oliver. Going great guns using the forms to open external sites.

One issue is that I'm using a hidden field but can't seem to get it to use the id I specify. (http://www.whiteheaven.jp/search-hakodate-property/)

Here's the form parameter  [id:display_court]|http://bit.sikkou.jp/servlet…|

But the form outputs

<input type="hidden" class="cfhidden" name="cf3_field_1" id="cf3_field_1" value="http://bit.sikkou.jp/servlet...

I'm trying to make id="display_court". My php page template then parses display_court and performs an action.

One other minor issue is that I'm using the " action (in fact it just reloads the page) but the form is still sending out an email.  Any thoughts?

You need to enable "custom names/ID's" for cforms to pick up [id:XYZ].

The alternative form action should redirect to the destination without sending an email.

Hi Oliver – thanks worked a charm.

I'm still getting an email though when the form is submitted.

a form has been submitted on 8 September 2008, via: /search-hakodate-property/ [IP xxx.xxx.13.115]
    http://bit.sikkou.jp/servlet/xxw.XxWServlet?O_thing_cls_t=1&O_thing_cls_k=2&O_th…etc

Not sure why this is , any thoughts?

re: email; wow, since the form action is pointing to a different target (and the page assumingly reloads – no ajax involved),  I wonder how that email is triggered/generated.

Any chance to take a look at the form?

Ok I see. I thought you were redirecting to a complete new site, in which case no email should have been generated.

However since your pointing to the same site, cforms notices this and assumes it is supposed to send the email.

The workaround would be to simply assign a 'black-hole-email-address' to the admin address config option.
