Ajax form submit doesn't work correctly?

Please replace the ??? with your data!

[desc]:

Clicking submit won't submit the form ajax style, even though I have ajax box checked.  I read through the faq checking the cforms.js and lib_ajax.php (I changed to full path) and the form just won't submit it via ajax.  It also doesn't pop up any JS errors.

Any ideas?

Ajax submission has been limited to forms (or sites) showing the credit line.

Hmm Ok.  I certainly see your point, but there are going to be corporate sites or other people that dont' want footers or things indicating where the form came from to be on their site.  So in exchange, normally a donation is made.  Since I see you don't really accept donations, I'm wondernig if you could come up with some sort of solution as I think it would be fair to pay a certain amount to get rid of the tag line.  Thoughts?

What as the outcome of this?  Is there a pay fee ? or work around?  Love the form but rather not have the tagline displayed on screen for same reasons above.

Cheers

Here is what I wrote to the other user and what generally applies:

I've been spending a couple of hundreds of hours overall on cforms, plus providing free support and people not only have started removing the link love from the get-go, but some even had the nerves to just turn it on, ask for extensive support and after having received free support, they turn it back off. Since "link love" is the only form of appreciation I ever asked from users in return this equates to a slap in the face.

Hence I've decided that if no link love is shown certain (Ajax) functionality will simply not be available and it will fall back to non Ajax form submission. If users disable Ajax, it works as usual.

What are the options for the users?

(1) Obviously the best: simply leaving the link love in place :-)
(2) Use cforms without Ajax capabilities
(3) Alternative link love in some other place on the site
(4) Or users happen to find something on my Amazon wish list reflecting the value cforms has to them (in fact I leave it up the user to determine how much)

(3) & (4) will give you a key that 'unlocks' cforms

Users who happened "to run" into my Amazon wish list of course will all have keys.

This is not meant to be a hostile reaction, but a necessary one for my sanity - if that makes sense.

'Hope for your understanding,
