AJAX based error in IE6, but not in FF2

Hey,

I just updated to the latest version of cform (5.3) and i receive the following error while submitting the form in IE6 (in FF2 everything works great):

"Error occured while sending the
message:"

and therewith no mail is sent out, but the data get tracked by cform.  

I am running the latest wordpress version. i don't have any other ajax-based action on my site. the only javascript is the google analytics code snippet.

without ajax it works perfectly.

 

any ideas?

does it work in IE when Ajax support is disabled?
