I just upgraded to 10.3 from 8. The form sent the email successfully, however, the success message that was displayed above the form said "1*$#n" instead of "Your message has been sent. Thanks very much" which is set in the admin section.
The Failure message and one moment please display fine
I'm still running WP2.6 and I'm upgrading the plugins before upgrading to 2.7.
Any advice?
Thanks,
Andrew

I also have this problem as well with the latest upgrade. the string in the Success field seems to be random. For example, my last one was 7*$#n.
Running, WP 2.7 and upgrade from the last CFormsII plugin. Any help is greatly appreciated

Same for me: 1*$#n as success message
The strange thing is that it happens only on 1 blog of mine, the other works fine.
@ oliver
If you need urls of my blogs please ask me via mail

When did you download?
Could be a caching issue on my server side, since that was a bug that was cleared last second.
Can you redownload and try again?
EDIT PS: Since this was a Javascript issue, make sure to clear your browser cache (or better yet restart your browser) after you re-downloaded

Apologies it isn't a random string. It is just different for various forms. Another form I just tried returns 9*$#n. thx.

Oliver, re-downloading and uploading solved the issue. Thanks so much for your timely responses.

I downloaded and installed today. I also tried it in a different browser after emptying the cache and it still happened.

@arossphoto
i had also downloaded it today. if you haven't re-downloaded it recently, try that as it fixed the issue for me.

Was the zip file updated today or something? I just downloaded it this morning.

I downloaded the zip file again last night and reuploaded all the files this morning. Then I cleared my cache in Firefox and Safari, but the success message is still "1*$#n"

@arossphoto
are you certain that your re-upload of 10.3 worked fine? it does seem that js/cforms.js has not been updated.

Thanks, it's finally working. I don't know why the js files wouldn't have been updated when I deactivated, deleted, and reinstalled yesterday. Today I deactived, deleted the js directory with my ftp client, re-uploaded the js directory, and then reactivated, and it worked.
Cheers,
Andrew
