FYI–I made a tutorial for first-time users who want to use the custom examples. it is available here.
I read the instructions several times before starting and still didn't understand clearly how everything worked. After I figured it out, I wrote the tute. Then I reread the instructions and they seemed pretty clear. So it may be that this is just redundant but it might help some first-time users or give you an idea of what was confusing in the existing explanation.

Thank you Valerie for putting the tutorial together! Could you double check the URL, it seems that either there is a typo or the post has not been published yet :)

Thanks — I had it post dated to appear tomorrow, thinking the permalink would still work. I changed it and you can view it now at robcomm.net or at
this permalink.

Here's an updated link to the tutorial, as people have requested it. I'm not sure if it still applies to the plugin as it's been updated a lot since I wrote it. If anyone out there has any suggestions or updates, please post here or let me know v at vrob dot net. I'm swamped with work and won't have time to work on it.
