Implementing Form Input Fields

Hi There,

I have read through the instructions, downloaded Firebug, but I still can't figure out how I implement any changes to the form input fields. I have added a drop down box to my form, but I have no idea how or where I can add the options in HTML.

Thanks Oliver!

Cornelis, please revert to the Help page of the plugin it will explain in detail what the expected format of the field name is to properly configure the drop down box (or select box) and it's options.

roughly, the format is: name#option1#option2….

Firebug as an extension to Firefox I only suggested as a tool for troubleshooting / modifying your CSS on the fly.

Hi Oliver, yes, I have read all the instructions, but I couldn't find anywhere in on the Help page the exact where to actually configure this (where can I find the HTML of the form I created?). I have looked at the cforms.ccs and even downloaded the actual form I created.

No worries, here is an example for the field name / label:

What is your request regarding#Schedule#Costs#Website#Other

The above string you need to copy and paste into the field name of the form config (on the cformsII admin page).

Hi Oliver,

I am almost there. This might be a very dumb question, but you are dealing with a person getting his head around all this. I have these options under my CformsII tab, but can't find an Admin area where I can make changes to the html of the actual forms I created:

  • cforms II
  • Plugin Settings
  • Tracking
  • Styling
  • Help!

Where is this area?

Thanks,

Cornelis

Just click on " cforms II ". Scroll down to where all your fields are located (Form Input Fields), click on the respective field name and enter the above value.

You do do not have to change any HTML, it's all in the field name.

I suppose you have a field name that's called:

What is your request regarding

change it to:

What is your request regarding#Schedule#Costs#Website#Other

That's it! Thanks so much. I love this contact form. It is the best one out there!
