format within multiline text box

I would like to add page breaks or paragraphs to the text in the multiline text box at the top of the form. it is set read only.

Due the "one line" config option on the cforms admin page, real line breaks can't be made. The workaround is to use   for line breaks, e.g.:

abc def

results in

abc
def

or use a text only field for your purpose, that way you can style the field much better…and can use HTML in the text.

Hi thanks for the ideas,

I was able to get the formating the way I wanted using a text only field. However, I needed to include that text in an autoresponse email and the text only field could not be called as a variable in the email. I just got {_field3} in the body of the email.

The code in the multi line input field did not seem to do anything. the code does not display but it does not force a linebreak either.

Any suggestion?
