It’s not like we had much of a choice – no blue or red pill- , but after our recent trip to sunny California, including some road-trip side-adventure, getting settled again in Munich turned out to be a real challenge.
Two things: iffy weather and more snowflakes. But let’s skip the still cold weather here in Munich and talk sunshine, beaches and fantastic food for a short recap of our trip.
We ate
plenty. Always. Like…constantly. More on that later.
We shopped
probably more than we should have. Sur la table & Anthropologie as well as the local farmers markets are my weakness. *sigh*
We discovered
the best antiques mall (Rich Mann Poor Man Antique Mall) by accident. And its incredible friendly staff pointed us towards an extraordinary cookie shop (Brown Butter Cookie Company) at the end of the same street. Their cookies are so good – even New York Times- and Gourmet-approved.
We meet
beloved old and some new friends (some bloggers, too).
We enjoyed
this San Francisco institution.
We conquered
several highways, including the scenic no-brainer: Highway 1
We photographed
more than 4k photos… Still going trough them. You can find a gallery of some favorite impressions of California at the end of this post.
We slept
in some charming hotels & kitschy-cozy motels.
We walked
some awesome dog-friendly beaches. You’re a dog lover? Here’s a gallery of our favorite shots.
We lost
an iPhone.
We found
an iPhone. Go figure.
