		<description>Steph, Thanks! To get the close-ups/macro shots, we in fact use a macro lense (100mm). On trips we tend to switch between a 17-55mm and 85mm lens, depending on the situation and available light. The standard 18-70mm (kit) is a fine lens, but also has its limitations, especially on the wide end (17mm) and in terms of &lt;em&gt;lens speed&lt;/em&gt;.

Sam, Thank you! Especially in the first days the number of hits were mind-boggling, almost scary to see the blog being visited to such an extend - pressure? uh, no waaay &lt;strong&gt;*cough*&lt;/strong&gt;
