As for the pics, the food looks lovely. The category B entries still have their merits, as sometimes we all need reminders of the classics we sometimes forgo for creativity. As for the category A contestants, I had a similar problem recently. I made an absolutley photogenic dish that ended up tasting rather blah. I've not brought myself to deleting the pictures as of yet, so maybe it is destined for a similar post in my future! Oliver and Nicky, enjoy your vacation!

Oh, chanterelles! I could devour an embarrasingly large quantity of those eggs. Yum. I, too, have a problem with the 'writing it down' thing. I've gotten much better, though. It really makes a difference when baking bread. I've almost stopped saying to myself, 'Oh, you'll remember that and that and that.' Yeah, right. Dead wrong. : ) Hope you had a lovely holiday!
