Made this the second time today. :-) This time I also added lemon gras and garnished with some shrimp. Very tasty! Thank you for this lovely variety of potatoe soup!

Juat discovered your gorgeous blog. The potato soup looks delicious, but I have never heard of one of the ingredients. What is curcuma?

It is nice to get recipes and a great story line added...thanks for making my day...no, my week. I am putting you in my "favorites." Please continue to have a beautiful life and be blessed from our Creator. I would tell you Merry Xmas but I don't happen to believe in any holidays.....so I guess I will have to say Shalom and Peace be with you.

Hi Anthony,
Thank you! - I'm pretty certain there will be a grumpy Bavarians part II and III soon, as it seems it is just a matter of good timing to run into these type situations...;) (Being born and grown up in Bavaria, I hope it makes it legitimate to write these things, always with a *wink* of course)

Michele, Somer, Tara, Jennifer, J.T. & Jens
Thanks a lot ;) Fortunately, the weather is gradually turning better and the days are already getting a little warmer (actually we're having rain again as I'm typing this) - otherwise I could have easily seen myself become a grumpy Bavarian... ;)

Hi Dreska,
The zucchini really adds to the dish. I could easily imagine, that adding the zucchini roasted (like you used to prepare zucchini) would add a nice twist.
